A little more about myself

Being the only son of a man who was a verified genius, growing up was in the shadows of shoes that I would likely never match up to. To intensify matters more, my great grandfather was a famous poet: Andrii Ponur, author of "Bukovinets." This created much pressure to excel and resulted in a little rebellion at times; however, it did create an internal driven nature that has been both a curse and a blessing. Combine being meticulous by nature, internally driven, and a permeating existential loneliness and my personal style in art developed.

My life has been a series of spooky tales, in which the metaphysical seemed commonplace and a deep spiritual connection with my creator arose as the result. Despite not being churched, I found God on the basis of reason, relationship and what was written and not traditions, nor ordinances of men trying to control the divine (which always spills into disaster).

Societal justice, intuition, dreams/nightmares and human symmetry have always been sources of inspiration for art, as well as trying to understand our own underlying programming therein. Art is one of my gifts, the one that is most visible to others; with it, I speak volumes about who I am, but there is much, much more...

A few things not commonly known about the Artist:

1. Marc's spatial relations IQ was tested and found to be at the top of the scale.

2. Most of his Eliuk ancestors share similar traits of having: high spatial relations aptitude, significant creativity, and attention to detail.

3. Marc's personal beliefs rest somewhere between Judaism and early Christianity, (despite having started in life as an atheist).

4. His visual acuity includes seeing outlines around all objects but accepts it as normal vision... He does not claim to be psychic.

5. His great grandfather used to find wells using the traditional forked stick technique. Marc advocates that the stick isn't needed if one is sensitive enough, as there's an unrecognized human instinct for finding water.

6. He's barometrically sensitive and undergoes severe moods up to 12 hours before tornadoes.

7. Has problems with watches and other sensitive electrical devices that are carried on or kept close to the body.

8. He has a mild auditory processing difficulty, where certain pitches are difficult to process for language acuity; therefore, he prefers to communicate either in person or in writing and avoids using the phone when possible.

9. He advocates that humanities diversity is our greatest strength and "we are all the same but with different stories to tell."

10. Prefers the quiet life wherever possible.
