This painting was inspired by the growing silent feminist revolution in both the developing world and middle east. The yoke of mistreatment has slowly but surely brought on a grass roots, silent revolution of both feminism and human rights.
It is my hope that this painting will be a symbol of this struggle in this powerful but subtle movement. The strength of this revolution comes from within, from that which cannot be taken by someone else; yet, is nurtured by one another in the same cause. Abuse is always repaid with abdication, if not now it always comes, as none can take your spirit.
