A Gallery of Works that didn't turn out, abandonded, or are indefinitely on hold

Although I wish that everything I worked on turned out, sometimes it just doesn't happen.... It's just the human side of things... It can be as simple as no longer being able to visualize the work, being abandoned until the inspiration returns, or problems with the technique, even simply just a failed experiment.

I would like to call this my "mini gallery of tears" as most of the works represent days of lost effort.
However, there are some from time to time, that I have returned to and brought to completion, as demonstrated on the bottom half of this page.

This was a successful experiment!
I wanted to see how long it would take to
sketch and paint a 16x20 portrait using a small photo.
I did this in 8 hours: Not good enough for a
gallery work but successful time
