Here's your chance for being published on this site

Where the visual meets the literary

Great things happen when artists work together; therefore, I'm looking to collaborate with artists of literature. I believe that literature and fine art belong together; hence, I'm inviting writers of all types: poets, story writers, song writers and all others, to be published on this website. It's free, all I'm looking for is artistic contributions in the form of literature that match the paintings posted to create a new form of gallery. (In fact, I'm considering posting music, from musicians, if there is an interest).

Genre: The literary work must match the painted work that you pick.

My vision: A new type of gallery, where the visual meets the literary... I see a gallery where every work of visual art is accompanied by works of literary art, inspired by and/or relating to the piece/painting. Thereby creating images and imagery, which kindles the imagination of the viewers and takes them to new places, where either work alone would not have achieved by itself.

Terms: Purely voluntary but you are published on this site and your work is promoted (for free). All of your work remains as your property.

Framework

1. All literary works are yours, I'm simply asking the right to publish it as accompanying/agree with the painting to create a deeper effect. As the painting becomes more famous, the literary work will be promoted, and all authorship and ownership of the literary work belongs to the author. No rights are lost, just allowing me to connect the literary work to the painted work, as an expression to create something great... That's it.

2. The work must match a visual artwork, otherwise the impression is lost. To oversimplify the case: read the name of the painting, look at the images, the colors, the visual story, what does it tell you? What does it mean to you? Where does it come from? Where is it going? Write something descriptive and artistic. (However, I'm relying on you to edit the work as I won't change the work for you and can't publish grammatical errors and/or spelling mistakes). I'm sorry, but work filled with errors will be rejected or returned as I don't have the right to change your work.

3. I will only publish quality work. I don't want to offend anyone but I have to make choices that are descriptive, artistic, and well written. I'm sorry but I won't publish anything sexually graphic or with hyper-violence, just as I don't paint such. There are other platforms for this, elsewhere. Suggestive and sensual: yes; graphic: no... (There must be some match/connection to the works painted). I know I may not be able to publish every interpretation and I'm sorry for this, I am more than willing to express why and accept new drafts as my work was also created with an interpretation and I'm looking to match the visual with the literary;therefore, if something appears disjointed, it works against the spirit of the gallery and leaves me without positive options.

4. There is no limit to the works you submit or the works posted, if one painting has 1000 literary works to accompany it and another has none: so be it. It's all about expression and inspiration: where the visual meets the literary. To allow space, and prevent clutter, all literary works will appear on the enlarge page of the painting. (The "click the painting for a higher resolution image" page).

5. Please include:
A. - your name (or pen name).
B. - the type of literary work (poem, song, ballad, short story, experimental, or other).
C. - the name of your literary work.
D. - the name painting(s) that this literary work could be attached to.
E. - a copy of the following simple writing contract for both your protection and my protection.
